Joanie's Success Story

Joanie Mendowegan

To: Matawa Employment & Training Team

Hi, my name is Joanie Mendowegan. Matawa Tribal Council in Thunder Bay, Ontario recently provided funding to me for an opportunity to further my employment education in taking a 10 week course; TB2 Table Games Dealer at the Casino Training Academy in Thunder Bay.  As a result, their belief in me, and with funding, I graduated from the course and was able to travel to Casino Rama in Orillia, Ontario for my table test and interview. I left 4 days before my graduation from the TB2 Program, and was offered employment at Casino Rama. I would like to thank the Matawa Employment & Training team, Larry Spense and Doris, for all of thier assistance and allowing me this great opportunity. I am very excited to start my new career at Casino Rama.

Sincerely,
Joanie Mendowegan
